Administration Officer
Maternity Leave Replacement
PART TIME 0.8 FTE

VCOSS is looking for a part time Administration Officer to provide administration assistance to the Disability Advocacy Resource Unit (DARU). The Disability Advocacy Resource Unit (DARU) is a joint project of VCOSS and VDAN, funded by the Office for Disability and aims to provide support to organisations and individuals providing disability advocacy.
You will report to and work closely with the DARU Coordinator and be responsible for:
- Maintaining DARU information systems
- Providing administration support to the Resource Library
- Handling general enquiries and making referrals
- Organising and supporting various meetings and events
As the ideal candidate, you will have an understanding of the issues facing people with disabilities and a passion for supporting them, and display the ability to be inclusive and diplomatic. You will have strong administrative skills,, be highly proficient in MS Office and have experience working with information and database systems.
This position is part time 0.8 FTE for a maternity leave replacement of up to 12 months and commences mid April 2010. VCOSS offers a number of flexible work conditions to help staff to achieve work-life balance. Salary and conditions of employment are governed by the Victorian Council of Social Service Enterprise Agreement 2006. Salary is currently $48-55k pro rata, plus super, commensurate with experience.
