Greener Futures: Dandenong & Casey
If you live in the Dandenong or Casey Council areas in Victoria, Mission Australia's Greener Futures can install free products in your home to save on electricity, water and heating bills.
What is Greener Futures?
Greener Futures is a program where registered Tradespeople install energy saving products in your home to help you save on electricity, water and heating bills.
What can Greener Futures do for my home?
You can choose from any of these energy efficient enhancements for your home:
- Install draft reducing products to keep your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer
- Seal small cracks in the main heated room
- Replace light bulbs with longer lasting energy saving bulbs to save electricity
- Install a new water-saving shower head
Who is eligible?
You are eligible if you rent or own your own home, live in the Dandenong or Casey Council areas in Victoria, and have a current Centrelink Healthcare Card, Low Income Card or Pensioner Concession Card.
How much does it cost?
It does not cost you anything to request the service - there are no ongoing costs or contracts with Mission Australia.
The program is paid for by the Australian Government. You get savings on electricity, water and heating bills from the new products based on your current usage.
