Leadership: Leadership Mentoring
Leadership Plus
What is the Leaders Network?
The Leaders Network links the skills, expertise, knowledge and experience of leaders with a disability to business, community, Government and not - for - profit organisations in a variety of roles.
Do you need a Leader?
Does your organisation or business need some specialist help or assistance in establishing or completing a project, organising an event,, facilitating at a conference, or joining a board? Our members have a diverse range of expertise in many areas that could provide valuable assistance to your organisation.
Network members all have work, family and community commitments. The purpose of their contribution to an organization is to support and strengthen the capacities of staff or members, rather than to undertake significant hands-on work themselves unless in a paid capacity. The ideal project works on a specific issue with an organisation so that it is in a stronger position to tackle similar projects or problems by itself in the future. Leaders may also provide perspective around specific disability issues where pertinent or if requested.

Are you the head of a small – medium organisation or a senior manager in a large organisation with questions about the leadership aspects of your role? If so, Leadership Victoria (LV) can help. Through the LV SkillsBank mentoring program, applicants requesting assistance can be matched to the most appropriate mentor from a statewide pool of senior professionals working in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. The mentoring is for a 12-month period with meetings held at least monthly, to provide the opportunity for conversations around organisational issues and leadership strategies.
