Volunteering Australia Risk Management
Volunteering Australia Insurance and Risk Management for Corporate Volunteers
This is a guide about skilled volunteering and insurance – but mainly from the employer’s point of view (ie the employer that allows its employees to do corporate volunteering)
Please click here to read the guide
It talks about how Oxfam skill share has dealt with this issue in the past. Most legal guides recommend that if you have volunteers you need to cover them with volunteers personal accident insurance (for any injuries they may sustain on site / while volunteering) as well as public indemnity / professional indemnity (for if they may cause injury or damage to public).
