MaryMandy, a Disability Support Worker has made a positive difference to the lives of Mary and four other adults who share a supported house in Swan Hill.
With Mandy’s encouragement, Mary and her housemates are empowered to think about and choose outings and activities they want to try either individually or as a group.
Mary now participates in a number of activities that she really enjoys and gets a lot of pleasure from showing off the end result of her cooking and craft classes.
She is actively involved in the community, regularly attending church with the support of staff, and recently participated in the local debutante ball.
The personal growth and confidence of Mary and the other residents has been enormous. Their home is now a much happier place to be.
