I grew up wanting to be an architect or a graphic designer – even doing some work experience, but it was not for me, and then I went to Deakin and did a Bachelor of Social Work degree.

Now, I am just so incredibly lucky, I think, to find something I gelled with really, really well, and I love it.

I manage YHQ Youth Headquarters, a youth information and resource centre.  Every day is different, because you never know who will walk through the door.

I mainly meet 12 to 25 year olds in need of help of one kind or another, and together we look at the many options and range of support services we can offer.

I also work with the Youth Council.  It’s like an advisory board made up of young people.  Molly used to be a Youth Council member.

I really enjoy the group facilitation, as well as having that one-on-one contact, particularly when such young people can touch base in a safe trusting climate.

This door opened for me, and I clearly believe I am where I was meant to be.
