VCOSS publications inform public debate about VCOSS policy issues, document VCOSS research and influence Government on policy. Many VCOSS publications are developed in partnership with other organisations. VCOSS publishes Just Policy, a quarterly journal on policy issues, Noticeboard, a monthly newsletter to members, develops submissions to government inquiries and legislative reform processes and produces research and policy reports. Each year, VCOSS produces a submission to government outlining priorities for the state budget.

Manuals for community organisations
As part of our work to support and resource organisations in the community sector VCOSS is updating and publishing new editions of its popular manuals for community organisations. As one VCOSS member put it, ‘The good, commonsense stuff in the VCOSS manuals doesn’t need updating, just the legal changes.’ The manuals are designed for small, not-for-profit organisations in particular, providing information that is useful and easy to understand.
