ChildcareVictorian Children and Young People's Commission

VCOSS supports the establishment of an independent Victorian Children and Young People’s Commission. The Commission would have a unique responsibility for protecting and promoting the rights of children and young people at a State level. It would also have a broad overview of the issues affecting children and young people in government, non-government and commercial sectors.

VCOSS was a founding member of the Coalition for a Victorian Children and Young People’s Commission. The Coalition aims to promote the implementation of the model for a Commission which is presented in its report Are You Listening to Us?

Further information regarding a Victorian Children and Young People’s Commission, including copies of the report is available at the Coalition’s website.
