Victorian Climate Change Green Paper

In June 2009 Premier Brumby launched the Victorian Climate Change Green Paper. The Green Paper outlines the Victorian Government’s climate change policy directions and priorities across a number of policy areas including:

  • energy efficiency;
  • transport;
  • the built environment;
  • health and wellbeing in a changing climate; and
  • building responsive emergency services.

The Green Paper and details of the Victorian Government’s public consultations  are available here.

For a copy of VCOSS' submission to the Green Paper click here.

VCOSS sees the Green Paper as an opportunity to advocate for equitable and inclusive climate change initiatives and investment which will support low income and vulnerable communities to adapt to a changing climate and low carbon society.
VCOSS is holding a number of consultation discussions for our members and stakeholders on different aspects of the Green Paper to inform our submission and ongoing advocacy in this area.
