State Election 2010
VCOSS consults with its members and develops a state election policy platform in the lead-up to State Elections, for discussion with all political party candidates.
In 2006, VCOSS published its platform in a booklet entitled Building a Strong and Fair Community (PDF).
In the lead-up to November 2010, VCOSS is working with the Victorian Community Union Roundtable made up of VCOSS, The Victorian Council of Churches, Victorian Trades Hall Council and Environment Victoria, to develop policy platforms. To assist community, environment, unions, local government and church organisations to develop shared policy proposals for public dialogue in the lead up to the 2010 election the Visions for Victoria initiative is currently underway.
